About me Andrew Miller,

I am a seasoned counselor with over 30 years of experience guiding individuals and couples through life’s challenges.

Counseling is as much about the counselor, and the counseling relationship as it is about the counseling techniques, so here is a bit about me.

My wife and I are the proud parents to two young adults and currently care for an aging parent. We have resided in Austin since the mid 1990’s.

I received my undergraduate degree in Sociology from Texas State in 1990 and began my counseling career in 1992 upon receiving my Master’s degree in Social Work from the University of Houston.

Experience

For the past 30 years I have had the honor of helping individuals from all walks of life work though a vast array of personal, relationship and mental health issues to realize the best version of themselves.

I see every client as a fellow traveler who may be experiencing temporary brokenness, but always carrying the seeds of greatness.

Counseling and guiding individuals & couples is as much an art as it is as science so I draw from a wide range of therapeutic practices and personal experiences to match the unique needs of each client.

Skill

My unique skill set, however, is my in-depth knowledge of the Enneagram Personality System which I use to help clients understand and change ways of being that no longer work.

My counseling practice is based on perennial wisdom as well as modern psychological insights.
